Reserved a table for 7pm and at about 8.05 we were told despite having literally just finished our main course and having half a €39 bottle of wine to go we had to leave in 15 mins as the table was reserved. We were actually...asked if we wanted deserts or cafe about 5 mins later by a different member of staff. Needless to say for a approx €100 euro meal we stayed until we were good and ready about 8.30 and even that... View all feedback.
Very bad service, had to ask for bread, water, bill several times. In the meantime, the staff is chatting and hanging on the side. Food is very average, not homemade, mass production frozen from Metro-Shop.
I went to this restaurant on a business dinner from a congress, there might have visited 50 ppl. At first they began to give the appetizers, they began to serve my table (about 5 people), and did not give me the appetizers and the person next to... I, then they gave it to the rest of the restaurant. I was patiently waiting to get it, but she ended it to the whole restaurant and nothing, so I ask the waitress whether we can get it, there were no excuses she was only surprised ‘oh you want the appetizers?’ lol. Then they got orders for the main courts, two people ordered medium steak, two ordered well done. The food is coming. They give us plates, don't ask who ordered the steak, so I think they either remember or have all made the same. Wrong. The people who ordered the medium were well done and vice versa. I had to eat a good steak that was super boiled. The waitress comes and asks if everything is okay, so I say no, we all have the wrong order. Your answer ‘oh sorry’. And that's it. Then we get all dessert that no one more than a bite of cause it was absolutely disguise something like cream brulee in old socks caramel sauce. Had a terrible experience there that ruined my mood for the day, and the level of the service was simply unacceptable. Eating badly.
Visited this restaurant in the first few days of our holiday. Situated near the sea front. The restaurant is very well presented, clean, tidy and staff are very professional. On our first visit we went at lunchtime (without a reservation) and we were accommodated immediately...at our preferred table outside. The service was wonderful and the food was wonderful too andbeautifully presented. Priced competitively for the area. We enjoyed our meal so much we returned again two days later for another lunchtime meal (without reservation), and again similarly served by efficient staff and wonderful tasty food. To finish our holiday the following week we returned on an evening, our wedding anniversary and yet again had a wonderful meal and wine. The food was yet again delicious, nicely presented and served by the most efficient and friendly waiter (Nadege) who couldn’t do more! Thank you to the owners and staff and we look forward to coming back to your wonderful restaurant soon.

Just in case the owners at L’escale care about what clients think and assuming the member of staff doesn’t own it, she was a slightly older than the rest of the other table staff and I can’t recall ever been told to vacate a table after just after an hour ever, she is totally responsible for this bad review.
