This is an amazing local pub with incredibly helpful staff. We held my daughter's special event there, and it was one of the best decisions we've ever made. The team went above and beyond, providing support leading up to and throughout the day itself. We utilized all the facilities, which made it easier for the little ones to settle in. I highly recommend this place, even if you're just looking for a good meal. Every... View all feedback.
What Tea And Cake doesn't like about The Fox Inn:
Terrible service, staff clearly have no idea what is going on and how to give actual customer service!! Book yourself into the Ibberton instead! Service: 1 Location: 1 View all feedback.
A large country restaurant, pub and hotel. not her average gastro-pub with pony proportions and snide looks. this place is convenient, welcoming and professional running. eating was interesting, locally sourced and reasonably priced. as land pub are dogs more than welcome. looks like it's great in summer as the beer garden is great.
Wow, so pleased hubby and I came here our first night for a meal. Dog friendly and a brilliant roast with the lightest Yorkshire's I've ever eaten. Their hazelnut and chocolate cheesecake was to die for....it was like a ferrero Roche cheesecake. It was lush!
Really nice country Inn, good range of beers and ciders on offer, would be nice to see more ales at any given time, but what they do have are well kept and regularly change. We've had take away fish chips which were great, you get a slight discount for take out. I think it was 10% but may be wrong. Nice big dog friendly garden with outdoor bar in the summer.
We had a really good meal after a long day and a very wet drive. Welcoming staff My steak and veg pie was delicious, homemade and piping hot. If I had one tiny moan was that I found the room a bit cold but it had turned rather horrible through the day and the fire was blazing. We will definitely return.
Had a delicious lunch here yesterday with family. Two of us had pork schnitzel, which was full of flavour and served with a coronation slaw on the side. The other two had a pheasant burger, which had tender meat in a brioche bun. The chips were some of the best we'd ever had, and the coffee was perfect. Our waiter provided excellent service along with a great sense of humour. Service: 5
