What Scott Percic doesn't like about Overlook At The New River Gorge:
The view is incredible and the staff was very friendly. We loved looking at the Gorge, the river, and the bridge as we dined. The employees were very nice and helpful, but the food was pretty rough. The cheese steak sandwich was overcooked and dry, but nothing ketchup couldn't fix. The view is incredible and the staff was very friendly. We loved looking at the Gorge, the river, and the bridge as we dined. The employees were very nice and helpful, but the food was pretty rough. The cheese steak sandwich was overcooked and dry, but nothing ketchup couldn't fix. My partner ordered the fettuccine and it wasn't edible: it was about 20 noodles swimming in a deep pool of what looked like 3 sticks of melted butter, no exaggeration. She let the noodles drip-dry on our fork for a bit between bites, but it was still too buttery to finish. We did enjoy the salad and the dressing was delicious. Also, we appreciated the eco-friendly sauce cups and straws. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

For our appetizer, we chose the Cheese Curds, which were very delicious. I wasn't impressed at all with the ribeye steak entree. My steak had gristle fat on almost half of it. I asked for medium well it was still ****. The baked potato was the best thing on my plate. I don't think the price of $22 is worth paying just to eat a baked potato. The view from our table was beautiful. The music they chose was pretty loud it didn't fit the moment.
