The ambience and service was top tier, however the Tomahawk steak special they had that night was undercooked (which was quickly corrected by the server/staff, who even accommodated us by taking off 2 of our drinks). Other than that, Uptown was a perfect experience!

We had such a good experience with delicious food, amazing service and a very nice atmosphere. The owners and the workers were friendly and very attentive to our needs. Tonight my family of six 4 adults and two children arrived at Uptown for a birthday dinner. When we got there only a few tables were filled. The issue is that t... read more Tonight my family of six 4 adults and two children arrived at Uptown for a birthday dinner. When we got there only a few tables were filled. The issue is that the first meal my granddaughters came out and she had finished before two more dinners came out ; after another 5 minutes one more dinner came and then 15 minutes later the last dinner came out. When the server who I was told is the manager was asked about the delay she rudely responded it takes 35 minutes to cook a jerk chicken breast ; when she was asked about the last delay she again rudely responded that the steak a 2 inch NY strip cooked to medium takes 35 minutes to cook. This made the dining experience unpleasant to say the least. We decided to leave after our meals rather that staying for dessert as planned. We have dined at Uptown countless times but now I am unsure if we will go back. Any acknowledgment by the server would have been appreciated rather than a rude response .
