Excellent food and friendly staff. Lucky to find this place open in town at night. But food was great even for the kids. Server was great explaining the menu options.
It was lovey evening meal, sitting in the quiet street in Anso. Our waiter was very attentive and spoke English. Our starters were boletos mushrooms done in egg absolutely delicious, and duck ham, goats cheese salad, which was also wonderful. We then had seared Tuna which was really tender and pork cheeks which was succulent and tender. We were full but ordered dessert raspberry sorbet and white chocolate cream, and a crispy cake of quince and cheese. Would definitely come here again.
It’s not that difficult to get good food in Spain…., but sometimes you end up in a special place! Maiberal Restaurant is just awesome! The best “ravioli de pato” ever!! And a Family atmosphere that I won’t forget! Gracias amigos! Hasta pronto!
Maiberal is a restaurant located in Ansó Valley, in Huesca-Pyrenees Region, in the North of Spain. Our last day of the travel, we walked in Ansó and decided to go to lunch in any restaurant. We find it and go there. We taste some dishes like bird meat with foie, boletus and truffle; meat duck raviolis with orange, and apple and pear chutney; brewed meat deer with strawberry sauce as main dishes, and a cheesecake as dessert. All was very good. Also, we drank a red wine called Caramelos de Obergo, which was good. Very nice place to do the last lunch in the travel. (see also Iglesia de San Pedro)
