Willy Mccoy's - Anoka

What a fun great place to meet friend and family for food, drinks and entertainment! Food and servers were excellent and friendly! Very fair! I'm sure I'm back!

Went there once when I was in high school just because I had a gift card. Was a vegetarian then. Got a bean patty burger. It was okay. The bun was greasy and I got misgendered repeatedly. I don't know if that would happen now but I'm not interested in finding out since I don't drink.

Had their hand cut 12 oz ribeye with whiskey beans and mashed potatoes. First half of the steak was good but the second part had a lot of gristle with me having to leave about 20 percent of it on the plate. A good ribeye should melt in your mouth and this one was a disappointment. The mashed potatoes and beans were good and flavorful. Had a cup of their chicken wild rice soup and bread stick which was the best part of the meal. My guest had the Mac and cheese with hamburger, broccoli and peppers which she thoroughly enjoyed. McCoy's always has good homestyle comfort food but the steak was definitely not a strong part of its menu!!

Service was okay. It did seem a little slow considering they weren?t all that busy but I try to give them the benefit of the doubt. The food was extremely good. I was disappointed in how it was cooked. It seemed a little more well done then I would?ve liked but it was still very good. The waffle fries were fantastic though. If you?re driving down 10 this is worth the stop!

Be here a few times now and enjoy every visit. Good menu with variety without being overwhelming. Prices are good, service is good, and I like the atmosphere. Not too cramped like a few places.
