best location away from the traffic, outdoor terrace well-shaded. summer salads and sundaes, lasagnes and bruchettas...difficult to choose, sometimes. All are copious, made-to-order, and delicious! Lovely place for a relaxing meal under the plane trees. View all feedback.
What Roger Lecoq doesn't like about Cafe du Commerce:
It's best to stick to salads and bruschettas, it's the most natural. Choose, for example, the simplest salad and bruschetta, to avoid cans of vegetables or other additions that bring nothing more, or even denature the whole.Sometimes the lasagna in the oven with vegetables are good enough. sometimes I say well, because the quality is fluctuating, sometimes too cooked, sometimes too fat, sometimes it seems that the fr... Quick and friendly service. We have taken out plates (copper well-stocked), smoked salmon lasagna and spinach and a brusheta goat surizo. The restaurant is located away from others and at the entrance of the old town.
Why the best? First it is well placed outside the other restaurants on the square, suffocated by heat in summer and with tables touching each other. near the river with the soft murmur of water, and trees. children can safely have fun on the perimeter for ball games. Then the dishes offered are simple, good, and little expensive. salads and bruschettas are delicious, fresh, as well as lasagna in the vegetable oven. for less than 9 € you can be shaved! who says better? desserts are also very reasonable compared for example to those of bistroquet at 6 € for industrial food. Here no dishes in the mysterious name but well of the concrete and the home fact. one cannot say the same for other restaurants where everything is frozen and warmed - apart from the restaurant oh three ceps, which has the merit of making its own kitchen, but the price remains higher. To the tourist to choose, so.
Three friends in weekend extended to annot, and a big hunger for lunch. During the feast of the Pentecost, we wanted to restore ourselves while waiting for the festivities of the village (east of the saint fortunat). arrived quite late in the middle of the day, we found a nice terrace table while there were still many guests. the waitress, smiling and thoughtful, brings us the menu. local dishes, appetizing, quite acceptable prices and a service reduced to the strict minimum, very slow, although charming and friendly. Salmon and spinach lasagna for me and my friend, a veggie bruschetta for our common friend. fresh products, homemade, very well cooked, tasteful and really good. nothing to say about lunch, a nice experience and a good value for money. a flat however: the wait to be served was long, very long. I put this on the account of the affluence in this holiday period, but the lack of staff seemed blatant. That's why I scored. If you have time, it is nevertheless worth waiting! friendly and gourmet meal :)
After nearly three hours walking in the mountains above Annot, we came back to the town centre at 2:45pm to find most of the cafes and restaurants no longer serving food. So we went to the Cafe du Commerce, just next to the boules square and asked if they were still doing food. "Only things like pasta and pizza" - but that was just what we wanted! A couple of beers and a bruschetta each were excellent value, and the game of boules we watched was an added bonus. Highly recommended.

Attention also to apple doughs that come from metro and are almost immangeable.
