Stopped at La Gambetta as we were walking down the Promenade; looked like a nice little place, so we stopped for lunch. I had a lovely tomato and mozzarella salad; can't remember what hubby had, but he said it was delicious. Service was very good; absolutely no complaints about anything. View all feedback.

Wow, after looking around for the famous CM, we finally found “the holy grail “, tasty, succulent and thoroughly enjoyable, Very simple food, but SO morish, served with a small salad garnish. A bit pricey €10.90, but we were in the central piazza so priced accordingly.(location, location, location) Nevertheless wonderful.
Ate here twice at lunchtime. On a hot day sitting outside under the copious parasols is so nice. It is a popular place so lots to look at. The menu is extensive and something for everyone from fast food type, i.e. pizza, burgers through to lobster and plateau fruit de mer. I had gaspacho with shrimp. It was extremely tasty, chilled and plenty shrimp. This is a hard soup to pull off and they got it just right for my taste. Half a grilled lobster was 19 euros and I felt a good size for the price. Skate wing was cooked just right with caper sauce. Bulots seemed popular so if you have a craving for whelks, come here! indoors has a copious space so there should be plenty room at dinner. Service was a little erratic but staff pleasant and friendly. Wine by pichet if you want and good selection of beer pression.
