This is one of a chain of hippopotamus steakhouses. For UK residents this was very similar to the Miller & Carter chain of restaurants in the uk. The menu offered a limited range of fish and vegetarian dishes. Our waitress provided a slick, friendly and helpful service. The wine and deserts were satisfactory. It had been a while since I had diner at a Hippopotamus restaurant.As we had just arrived in Annecy and wanted to have a diner without walking to much we came past the restaurant and decided to have diner there.Kids enjoyed their diner, the meat was tender however I had to try the fish & ships .. well it was great however the portion was a bit too small.This a good Familly restaurant , the staff was friendly. Well located by the park and not far from the lake. Small outdoor terrace, the reception is beautiful, beautiful interior room, hippo decor. Tables well arranged, not too tight, the order is taken pretty quickly, well served, smiling staff, listening, good advice. The meat is good and cooked as requested, good garnish, good dessert and a little surprise tasting with the coffee. Trust him.
Topissimo. Eating alone at the restaurant is never very pleasant, but from the reception of the servers took care of me, remained omnipresent during my meal without disturbing me. A lot of little attention. As for food, it was just very good and when the environment and the atmosphere lend themselves, everything seemed excellent. Thanks to them for this pleasant moment.

We were greeted with great heat. The service is upstairs and the kitchen is quite satisfactory. No waiting before being served, a pleasant setting, even if the façade can pass unnoticed. Well located, close to the lake, we recommend this restaurant for a discovery of Annecy.
Very nice, very good reception and we eat very well.
