Nice evening in this central restaurant. The menu is short, the products are top and the dishes are usually excellent, a fish lacking spices, but otherwise very nice). Efficient service, reasonable pricing, good bread. Pleasant wine list. View all feedback.
What Վաչական Պողոսյան doesn't like about Arômatik':
The best was the wine and the dessert. The starters weren't great, specially a leek so full of mustard, that only tasted at mustard. And the main courses weren't good either, the magret a bitr better than the boeuf, that was supposed to be soft and tender, but was hard. I must say the purée accompanying the boeuf was good. Definitely, not worth the prize. View all feedback.
We had a great evening there, staff professional, ready to help and competent. Food great, aesthetic as well as gastronomic experience. The restaurant is cosy. Every single bit was tasty, well presented an original. We found it by chance, just going by. But will definitely return when we get a chance. Grand merci!
It was Valentine's Day and my husband and I decided to celebrate it in aromatics. After a romantic start, we saw a big rat running on the wall and then holding niche in the corner. That was disgusting and surprising to see it, and we called a manager of the restaurant to signal it over the still sitting rat. Then we were amazed when his reaction was that the building is old and they can't do anything with rats. He also looked angry that we harassed him with this rat and it's normal, we shouldn't complain. No excuses for this “nice” experience, no efforts to improve this situation. Although the food was good, but who knows how many rats are also on the kitchen. Quite disappointed we took a picture of the rat and decided not to come back. This Valentine's Day with a rat we will remember! Shame!
We were seduced by multiple Routard+Michelin signs crowning the door of this little resto in the side street of old Annecy. We had each a 22eur worth lunch menu set "affaire" of starter+main+dessert. It was ok but not exceptional. Starter of mashrooms with a foamy thing and poached egg was particularly disappointing - foamy souse was too thin, just champignon de Paris mashrooms rather bland and poached egg was hard boiled (like a beton). I was so shocked that even asked waiter how egg is supposed to be and was confirmed that it should be runny and he will report it to kitchen. Main was much better as i had a lovely fish with courgette risotto. Both were good although fish skin was terribly soft. The other main of pork and curry carrots and couple of broccolis was tasty. The meat was great but dish needed more souse or pure and some crispy element. Dessert of a cherry financier with a mini scoop of pistachio ice-cream and some drops of cherry sirop was hyper sweet. I did not like the chemical taste of ice-cream and it was unnaturally green. All in all, this place did not live to my expectations of having a "off high street" culinary experience. The service was up to speed ...maybe too fast in bringing the bill without asking for it...Solid 3* but not more from me.
