Ordered a variety of sushi, and a plate of udon. The sushi was all good (especially the eel nigiri), but the broccoli in the udon was *perfect*. It sounds funny to rave about, but broccoli is usually not my favorite in general, so this is saying a lot! View all feedback.
What Lizzie Figs doesn't like about Tsunami - Annapolis:
This is my third meal at Tsunami. The food has never disappointed! Try the sea bass if you like fish. It was prepared perfectly. The french fries with their special sauce are to die for. View all feedback.
Great atmosphere and helpful staff. We were really impressed by the vegetarian and vegan options, as well as the sushi. Try the Tofu Appetizer and the Earth Day Roll!
Delicious food. Great service. The atmosphere needs work, very dark and loud. I couldn't hear we talking, couldn't see the menu unless we used the flashlights on our phones.
Ramen was fantastic. Tsunami also offers a wide selection of what I consider some of the best sushi in the Annapolis area. The atmosphere is a little loud; the bar is busy. The restaurant is clean and well managed. Servers are on the ball. Drinks are expensive, but drinks are skillful.
Eat under the stars with friends and ate at Tsunami. On the recommendation of a friend, I had the pig bell with sauce. It looked like a taco, but tasted like nothing I ever had. It was fantastic, full of taste, but still subtle. I was spinning on myself because I didn't order the sushi. What did I think?!?
So let me start with what was good: 1. The service was GREAT. Our server was amazing and showed the perfect amount attentiveness. 2. I LOVED the ambience and vibe of the place. They leveraged every available area to plug in seating, some of which was uniquely placed. We had great seats at the window overlooking the street so that we could people watch while we ate. These 2 are the driver behind the 3 stars. Now for the not so good: 1. The food was mostly disappointing. The sushi was good, as were the pork belly. But the tuna lollipops were too salty and the pieces weren?t uniformly cut so some of the pieces were way too big in size. The slaw was the only thing that saved the duck legs, which were over cooked and didn?t have much flavor. And the ramen was bland with noodles that were a bit to undercooked. The broth also had no real depth to it. I?d been wanting to go to this place for awhile so I really was disappointed.
