What Brett Sabbato doesn't like about Castlebay Irish Pub:
The food here is great, but the beer selection leaves much to be desired for a place with "pub" in its name. I ordered the bangers and mash, which were tasty but could have benefited from a bit more gravy and some mushrooms. The beer wasn't ice cold, and the variety was not as impressive as I had hoped. Overall, while this place may not wow you, it's a solid option for quality food in Annapolis on a busy weekend nigh... View all feedback.
That was the worst experience of my life. After a few minutes, someone fell drunk from a high chair. And he caused a huge scene. Then they kicked him out. He continued to create a big scene outside. Right in front of the restaurant. They refused to call the police, although customers felt insecure. This led to customers calling the police. And after the police left her there, they remained outside the restaurant. I know it was a bad situation, but the way they treated it was terrible. The police said to call her when it goes on. What it definitely did. They came back successfully in a few times. And even the “big guy” couldn’t help. After this was over, they refused to call the police. At some point they moved to the restaurant next door and then they moved back to this. Even while we left, they were still out with the “big guy” Awful experience and they should have just done the intelligent thing.
It was eight good ambience and pretty lowkey, but the food was quite meh. Nothing special to write home and I could not say why the Irish burger was Irish
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Very bad service, bartender pretty rude! Waiters not able to fill simple order of water and crab soup! Saw here for 30 minutes waiting the order while others were served coming to us. To be serious! Would not recommend!
Been here for drinks a few times, but came in to eat around 6 on a Saturday evening. It wasn't particularly busy but service took far too long. Ordered calamari which was chewy and bland, and a Irish Rubin that they apparently forgot to put corned beef on. I kid you not there were 3 small chunks on the whole sandwich and about half a pound of sourkrout. It was an $18 sandwich for goodness sake, the least you can do is give me a little bit of corned beef. If I could rate this dining experience 0/5 I would. Won't be coming back.
We ate here with several others. Relatively quiet for pub. Good service, menu was interesting, food good but not outstanding.
