I really liked the food at this restaurant, which I tried based on a recommendation from my Ethiopian friend. I was particularly happy to see that shiro was included in the vegetarian combo, as it is often not available at other places. The food was delicious and fresh, and the server was friendly. My husband enjoyed his beef dish, which was cooked to his preferred level of spiciness. We had a cold Habesha beer with... View all feedback.
What Abby D doesn't like about Dama Ethiopian Pastry And Cafe:
Dama restaurant has the worst customer service experience I have ever seen. I was treated badly and they did not clean up properly. This place is not professional at all. I SUGGEST YOU LOOK FOR ANOTHER PLACE TO EAT DON'T WAIST YOUR TIME OR TASTE BUDS. They were absolutely rude at me and I will never go there again. When you go to Dama you'll get into Drama. This was my first time eating Ethiopian food. It’s customary to eat your food with your right hand. It was an exciting experience and I can’t wait to explore more hand eating. There are plenty of vegan options. Get a taste and order the vegetarian/vegan platter and you will get a sample of each. The food is plenty and it’s hard to even finish your plate. I will be back!
Let me start with this, this is my first time eating Ethiopian food. So I have nothing to do to set this up. But so much taste. I couldn't try desserts but the food was so delicious!
This place is so amazing! Your food is delicious and full of flavor. Everything tastes perfectly seasoned. I loved speaking to one of the owners who also happens to be vegan. She was even kind enough to offer us vegan cookies to try for free. Don't jump out on dessert when you come, the cakes and cookies here are amazing. Just ask which selections are vegan. Would highly recommend, this is a great locally run shop!
Besides the great food, they often have vegan cookies and cakes.
