we try to make it here at least once a month. it is about a 30-minute drive, but it is worth it. the personal is always friendly and the smoked jalapenos are on the point. her version of the philly cheese with chopped brisket is one of my favs on the sandwich side and that brotpudding is easily a top 5 in bbq land. I had ribs. It was big, but you're having a drink and we're talking about 22 buckaroos. was it worth $22? in comparison to sprink creek where they do not receive the lunch special for $9.99 with 2 pages (not only one, as jb) definitiw. the ribs were good, but 3 out of 5 times the ribs at spring creek are just as good. my final conclusion: to lunch when they are in the mood for ripening, skip jb and find a jump creek. Stopped in for the first time with my daughter for dinner last night and had a great meal. She had the pulled pork sandwich with mac and cheese and there was plenty of meat on the sandwich and she loved the Mac and cheese. I had half rack of ribs and okra and both were really good. Looking forward to the ongoing changes they have planned.
We stopped by yesterday for lunch and we will be back!!! I loved the atmosphere, everybody were very friendly and nice, explained menu to us since we were there for first time. And food was delicious!!! It was one of the best meats and bread pudding I have ever tried. My daughter said it is her fav dessert now and she is hard to please like any picky eater
Sampled the chopped beef, Hickory sausage, Ribs, and Turkey. The food was great although the turkey was a little dry. Overall, great location, great people and exceptional customer service.
Love love love this place!! The staff is amazing, especially Norma!! The food is always delicious, my favorite is the stuffed paprika, I am addicted to them! Had something new this time as Tumblin Tators, they were fantastic! As always a great place to get delicious shrub and first-class service!
I am here now 3-4 times, tried the cut brisket, pulled pork, smoked turkey, ribs, burgers, sweet potato waffles, hob, green beans, roasted okra, most desserts, and of course the filled jalapenos (an ingenious appetizer). I didn't try anything I don't like. They also have two sauces, which they are in warmer, which are excellent and add a fantastic taste to everything. I'm a fan of sharp. Being in Anna for the first time in 3-4 years, I can say that we now have a place with places in the Mckinney, Allen and Plano area. Promising. It is still a new place and there are definitely kinks to work menu-wise, atmospheric, but the most important part (the food) they have it right at JB's. Only constructive reviews that I could give are: Fix Wobbly tables, TV with sporting events on, and wax paper instead of brown paper that is currently being served. I love the simplicity of the meat that is simply thrown on a tray, that is my type of food, but the current paper just tears and becomes soggy too easy. Apart from the small knicks that every opening restaurant has, JB is definitely worth a try.
