Black Pearl

We were there for the tequila and food pairings. The bartender/mixologist, chef and pastry chef all did a superb job! This was the second time we went for one of their special pairing dinners. Both times were great experiences. Of course, we enjoy going for regular dinners as well. Food has always been wonderfully prepared.

The Black Pearl consistently delivers an enjoyable experience with solid food and outstanding service. The Hamachi appetizer, snapper entree were all excellent. Somehow the management attracts and retains top quality, friendly servers.

My family and I had such a fabulous experience at the Black Pearl! The food was incredible and my daughter, who was visiting from NYC, said it was the best meal she has had in Ann Arbor. The drinks and service were 5 stars too.

Made a reservation and they were ready for us. Outside seating was amazing. The fresh oysters were awesome. They even served an additional dip of their own creation that was wonderful. Excellent server.

The tables inside are bar size and not suitable for a dinner. Also, the interior is dimly lit and the dinner plates are black. I had difficulty seeing my food. Altogether it was fine, not great. Eating outside seemed to be the more popular option.
