The place was spotless. Only a few diners after 1pm.I ordered the tofu fried rice lunch portion. It was a simple dish, but the chef did great with that browning (but not burnt) from stir-frying aggressively at a high temperature in a wok. I do not have such a large stove at home to recreate that unique flavor.I will visit them again for sure. View all feedback.
What S A doesn't like about Silk Elephant:
We had a small group that want to dine in, 8 total, the staff told us they could only split a check 4 ways, despite not being busy. So we asked if we could sit at 2 different tables and still split for each person, they said that was possible, but they would not sit both tables close to each other. we needed separate checks due to being here on business and needing separate checks for reimbursement. Unfortunately, as... View all feedback.
Service is sub par, but the food is PHENOMENAL! The coconut fried rice is something spectacular!
Food was so yummy, but Staff were a little bit rudeDietary restrictions: Their Website says to alert them of any dietary restrictions before ordering but the staff didn't seem to care or understand when our party let them know of some dietary restrictions before ordering

Great food that was ready so fast! Came in for lunch and there was some nice jazz playing. There's space outside for patio seating as well. I come here for take out pretty frequently but this was my first time dining in, and it was greatParking: The spots right outside on the street fill up fast. There is a parking lot behind the building but no rear entrance so you have to walk all the way around
Went here today for lunch. They close at 2. We arrived at 1:20 and was asked if we would be able to finish our food by 2pm. I said sure thinking to myself it would depend on how fast they brought our food as the only other time I ate there the service slow and terrible but I like the food. Our third person, who was parking the car arrived as soon as we were sat. We already knew what we wanted to order. Our third person stated they didn’t want to be rushed eating. We said fine we said we will just order to go. 15 minutes later our waitress came over finally, while the waiter who sat use started to serve a table of at least 6 people. We asked her if we could order to go seen the kitchen was closing soon. She said sure and asked what we wanted. As soon as I said I wanted soup she then stated she would have to speak to the manager if she can do a to go order since we were sitting at a table. Not sure what happened in the 30 second from ordering soup, that we could order to go and now we couldn’t. As we got up and left the table there was still being served food. I would like to know if you have them the 15-20 minutes to scarf down their food before kicking them out or were they allowed to stay and enjoy their meal? I work food service I really try not to go to a restaurant that close to close. However if you had better service we could have at least gotten it to go. You close at 2 but you should say the kitchen is closed at 1:30. We went down the road, spent around $70 and tipped about 30%. I won’t be back nor will one of the other persons I was with. I know one will because she doesn’t like to drive and you are close and convenient. There are far too many better Thai places for me to bother with the rudeness of you staff.
