probably not worth the money for everyone. the rooms were small with too short beds when they are over 180 cm, also have a tw in the room, but have a separate TV lounge for guests. Spa facilities have a limit for the number of people, but this is not held. alcohol is brought without service people to stop this, even if it is not allowed. the installation should also be a quiet zone, but that wasn't it. very norsk and... Probably not worth the money for everyone. the rooms were small with too short beds when they are over 180 cm, also have a tw in the room, but have a separate TV lounge for guests. Spa facilities have a limit for the number of people, but this is not held. alcohol is brought without service people to stop this, even if it is not allowed. the installation should also be a quiet zone, but that wasn't it. very norsk and ecco. lack of exercise room, something that is expected in such an installation. the dinner was unique, but the breakfast has a great potential for improvement, it was under standard for such a facility. the museum was ok, but very a homage to the family name angvik, not so much the history behind it.
Delicious food and great staff! the weeping list was somehow a let doen and must therefore draw a star for them. other than that, great service and a beautiful friend to keep a trust!
This is really a brilliant place to be when you need to relax, enjoy the beautiful settings inside and outside, swim in the sea or enjoy a whirlpool, sauna or spa. the service is excellent, very friendly and a helpful attitude, it could simply not be better to have a small problem that also steals the last remaining star, and that is the fact that they have no choice of choices to dinner, nor have they a wine list even though they have a weeping list
I live in Norway since 18 years. I'm from the Netherlands. All these years I have dined at different places in Norway. Never got excited about Norwegian food. BUT! THIS very Angvika place is something else. The cook and his/her staff delivered a tremendous jobb. Very professional. And the food, 5 course, was the best tasting delicious food ever served in Norway of all the many places I have visited !
Incredible experience, a day in luxury my family and I spent a night in the hotel in juli. we need to try the 5-course dinner and a 2-course lunch and experience the breakfast. everything was great, I can't mention a single thing that wasn't perfect or didn't fulfill my expectations. the personal service was minimal and was always helpful when there was something. the rooms were clean and comfortable and perhaps the best aspekt des hotels is the location and the hotel itself. to simply sit outside in the sun with a drink, take a bath from the docks, take a walk along the coast, that was wonderful. the food was also excellent. overall my family and I had an incredible experience.
