Purchased fish and chips the fish being freshly prepared while I waited as it was for several other customers who were obviously happy to wait rather than be served dried up fish etc. The staff were friendly and were seen to keep the serving area...tidy and clean. The prices were reasonable and cheaper than some others I have visited. View all feedback.
What Beth Chapman doesn't like about Belmonte Fish&chip Shop:
chips were soggy, greasy, wobbly rings were as limp as anything. red pudding was cut in half length, then deep roasted. it was also limp. also not a good choice. all landed in am. never again. View all feedback.
When we arrived, the fish had just been cooked and was nice and fresh, like the chips. All four of us enjoyed our meals. The staff was very friendly, polite, and helpful. The prices were reasonable as well.
An idiot gave that a star rating. I ignore this. everything about our visit to belmonte was first-class, from welcome to the very high quality of our squid and chips. excellently round and highly recommended.
Love this fish n chip shop over it competitor, fish supper cooked to order is best in town. Been using the place for twenty years

Always a happy welcome nice personal and good chips cooked in veg oil, suitable for veggies. other food cooked to order.
