Looking for vegan food on terceira (and probably most of the azoren) is a challenge. the kitchen usually consists of inconspicuous fishing and seafood. Finding vegetarian eating is difficult, but vegan even more so. Therefore I am glad that this restaurant serves a vegan plate! it is a herzhafter salate with tempered cherry pebbles, a little salate and crumble. the taste is good and I appreciate how the meal has a Portuguese taste. they pay a fair price and the meal is definitiw enough. hopefully, more restaurants in angra follow suit, and start adding at least one vegan option to your menu!
On my travel trough four of the nine island azoren I can say that it was really the best I had to eat. it was nutritiously well balanced, fresh ingredints and tasted wonderful. service was great, the serviettes were very friendly and pleasing, and not at all expensive. I recommend it. only bad thing I have to say badly about i tis that there is only one option on the menu.
I am waiter in this restaurant and I am personally responsible for the vegan option here (be it a personal recipe from me.) I advise any vegan, at least come and try. the best sweet traveling.
