We have enjoyed very much our meal. The crêpes were absolutely delicious! I have to say it was the best service in Angouleme for the two days we were staying there. Very attentive, polite and friendly View all feedback.
What Nick T doesn't like about Crepes Par Faim:
We tried to visit here today at lunchtime- 2 young families and two toddlers. The waiter would not allow us to collapse the pushchairs so that we could then go and eat in the garden- we wanted to allow our girls to wander and play. He then made sarcastic comments saying that we had already dared to join a table of 2 onto a 4 so that we could eat together on the front terrace. He then turned away mid discussion to spe... I'm celiac and I always go carefully to restaurants. When I went into this crêperia I went straight to see the salad menu but my surprise was that when I asked if the crêpes were doing wheat flour, they told me no, that it is gluten free flour acta for celiacs and lactose intolerants. It's been years sincerely and unproven, these CRIPS! Whether you're celiac or you shouldn't come and try this delicacy. I am celiac and I always go carefully to the restaurants. We wish to say first that it was good for a good price. Unfortunately, the service was very bad and very slow (2.3h for main+dessert). The man was rushing, up and down the stairs, sweating, under stress and forgetting what we ordered, blowing at all times, making us feel unwelcome. The girl in the kitchen was very nice, maybe they should switch... In order to improve waiting time they may want to buy more cutlery... And in order to get more income, they should inform the clients of the waiting and ask if they want more drinks. The cider at the tap was good.
Best galettes I have evertasted, the gourmet one's especially are very filling. Outside eating in the summer but in the winter down in the vaulted cellar
As vegetarians we were very disappointed by the service in this place. We clearly stated that we were vegetarians and made a point of telling the staff that we didn 't eat meat or fish. My French is good enough to make this perfectly clear. We communicated our order of crepes with mushrooms and spinach. When the four crepes arrived they all had ham in the and so our pantomime began. The waitress came out and I explained our order, the chef came out and I explained our order, the manager came out and I explained my order. She was rude and then demanded well, what do you want? I explained and got nowhere. We had to pay for four meals that we did not order! I shall never be going there again!
Good small crêperie, fast service, pleasant reception and small courtyard on the very nice back.
