The food was delicious but the experience somewhat tainted by the dirty looks. Shame, as otherwise we would return and recommend to friends travelling in the region.

This place is simply very nice. The food is always very good, well presented and interesting. The service is good and although, I initially thought, the new place lacked the intimacy of the much smaller restaurant they had down the road, but it is growing on me. Anyone who appreciates French cuisine will almost certainly like this gem opposite the tourist information office. I'm pleased the new venture is working well for the lovely owners.

We both went for the gigot of lamb which was beautifully cooked and was so tender and slightly pink in the middle, served with some simple vegetable (potatoes, carrots and parsnip . The wine list was on the expensive side but we took bottle of Anjou Demon (30€ and it was sensational, with a very deep purple colour and rich fruity blackcurrant notes. The dessert was a stunner too I took the chocolate and peanut bar, which was a base of peanut brittle underneath a layer of ganache and topped with a peanut mousse. the whole thing covered in dark chocolate. One of the best desserts I have had recently. The service was impeccable but friendly. I recommend this place.
