Disappointed with the service, when we work in the service, we know that we need to be a minimum friendly, otherwise we change the trade in the time that customers are here to spend a good time not to feel that you are disturbed! really disappointed in this place

We have visited this restaurant many times over the past few years; We arrived on a Sunday around 1pm (without reservation) and we were seated at a table in the Café St Aubin part of the restaurant (not open on Sundays). The menus came fast and the order was taken also in a timely manner. But then the wait for our food. Nearly 50 minutes which is WAY too long for chicken pieces and the butcher's choice of the day is this the fault of the kitchen (not enough staffing) or? Who knows? But we will not be back on a Sunday. The food was good but after waiting almost till 2pm for the food, my appetite was gone! The bill with 50cl red wine came to 43.10 euros; No apps and certainly after this long wait, no desserts either!

We stayed in Angers for one night and happened upon this restaurant as we walked around. We were partly expecting steak to be their specialty but the result was quite disappointing. Tough, chewy steak definitely not the best cuts of meat being used, placed on top of a few sparse chips with salad garnish. The pepper sauce was nice but by the time the food reached our table it was lukewarm and the additional haricot beans were over cooked and literally stone cold. The restaurant got quite busy whilst we were there but was quiet when we first arrived and definitely no excuse for the quality of the main courses. We had Creme Brûlée for dessert which was really tasty and partially made up for our earlier disappointment. The waiting staff were friendly and attentive but the kitchen definitely needs to improve its service.
