We ate here by chance when we walked on the streets of old angers. many of the main roads were busy and we wanted a calmer atmosphere. the restaurant was attrac... read more We ate here by chance when we walked on the streets of old angers. many of the main roads were busy and we wanted a calmer atmosphere. the restaurant was attractive and the menu sounded very interesting. the waiter was very pleasant and...helpful, especially since we are both koeliac and not in the position to eat everything that contains gluten. I decided to have the ris de veau sweetblowers, which unfortunately is not a court they find in Britain! it was delicious and the slowly cooked bark meat of my man was excellent. we wouldn't hesitate to eat here again. just wish they had some gluten-free brot in the freezer. another small suggestion would be a fan in the back room to push the air around a little. it became a little airless through the time we left.

I had the steak and potatoes, it was delicious! This was by far the best meal I have had thus...far in France. Their menu always changes based on what is available at the local market. Chez Remi is well worth a visit!
