Among the most sought-after luxury establishments in the world, and one of the best hotels in Europe, it will seduce you with its charm and its atmosphere that perfectly combines luxury and relaxation. It was again ranked top by the Forbes Travel Guide in 2023. It is at more than 1400 meters of altitude surrounded by the sumptuous Swiss Alps built for more than 10 years with unique Asian-inspired architecture that it will promise you a most memorable experience!!! No less than 5 exceptional restaurants and bars allow customers to immerse themselves in many different worlds. They answered any and... read more Totally outstanding restaurant! The food presentation was better than a rating of 10! Each dish was explained by Thomas,Anna and Giuseppe. They answered any and all questions we had. All the separate dishes had exquisite taste that tingled the taste buds! Also the mountain top restaurant didn’t hurt. We cannot say enough about Thomas,Anna and Giuseppe plus the rest of the staff. They made the whole experience something we will not forget. Thank you guys!

The portions are not as small as in other restaurants tasting menus, so you may not need so many courses. The food was excellent especially the sushi and sashimi courses were outstanding. The black cod was slightly over and a tad dry, but otherwise good. I suspect it was a fluke and not the usual way it is served. The view is absolutely spectacular I was lucky enough to be there on a clear and beautiful day, so could fully appreciate of the stunning surroundings. Service was faultless and excellent. Would go again any time

The views are spectacular but the staff definitely don’t make you feel welcome. The water was spilled out and we were promised to get new water, which never came. The wine bottle was opened with a splash and turned out to be the wrong wine… Prices are ridiculous even for Switzerland. One would expect more professional service and a genuine smile at least. All other restaurants in Andermatt managed to do this at a much much cheaper price and more welcoming atmosphere.

Had lunch here the third time in two weeks, returning for the great food, but what a disampointment this time…the restaurant was almost empty so you would expec... read more Had lunch here the third time in two weeks, returning for the great food, but what a disampointment this time…the restaurant was almost empty so you would expect extra care for the guests…instead our order was messed up, we were treated flat out rudely by some of the serving staff, in brief, great sushi but when for two people you pay over 300 franks without any wine or coffee, you expect at least to feel a bit welcome…don’t expect us back any time soon…too bad….

From the amuse bouche till the end its all well prepared and served tio the last detail. Service is friendly and attentive amd each dish is well explained. We had the four course of spider roll, soft shell crab, sushi , black cod marinated 18 hours amd slowly cooked in juice reduction just to name a few. Every dish is a delight to the senses., simply perfection. The flavours are rich yet refined. Such a top Japanese in Switzerland is not easy to find. Great asset for The Chedi... will come again.

I think that in Switzerland they find no better place to slow down and enjoy the alpine luxus. the rooms and suits are larger than most apartments in zürich! it is generous and decorated. the food in the restaurant is also fantastic. service and personal are also well trained, friendly and professional. just as it should be, they do not even notice that the dings happen in the background. not to forget the wine collection in this hotel. for wine lovers it is a must to visit. the only part lacks a special view from the rooms, which does not disturb at all. there are so many details in the room they forget to even look outside. I strongly recommend going there in the week. as the weekends are packed and have to wait at the breakfast and at the reception. it would be nice if the water in the outdoor pool was 1 or 2 degrees warmer.

I came with my 4 months old baby and they had a baby bath, bottle warmer and sterilizer, a windle wrap and a real crib, all in the room. I have never stayed in a hotel that thought to involve the child for her. her restaurant was also phenomenal and the service was impeccable!

An unpleasant surprise as I was told on the phone by reception a week ago that it would be no problem to get a table even without a reservation. Quite a downer as my wife was looking forward to have great Japanese food for days. Furthermore, we were told that there was only one table left in the main restaurant but only with an early seating. I complained about the situation to staff with the result that the reception manager (Julia? approached us and promised in a calm and very professional way that they would do everything in their power to get us at least a table in the main restaurant for a later seating at around 8pm. Finally, they managed to do that, so hats off! The food after all was amazing, resulting in a lovely evening nonetheless. The Spa could have been bigger but the rooms on the other hand are fantastic. The staff we came in contact with was outstanding and among them especially the reception manager. All in all a great experience!
