Had lunch today at Jack Astor’s in Ancaster Usually have chicken strips with fries Meal was fairly good although I thought they had changed the fries not as goo... read more Had lunch today at Jack Astor’s in Ancaster Usually have chicken strips with fries Meal was fairly good although I thought they had changed the fries not as good as before but what bothered us more when we got our bill paying for two...glasses of soda water and then there is tax on top of that Realize COVID has been tough on restaurants but prices like that will make you think twice so bottom line not good value for what you pay

At... read more Came to this location during COVID. Jack Astor’s is doing a great job with being pre cautious for social distancing. We chose to sit outside on their patio. At each table they have place markers that indicate which tables can be used or not used...for seating, to maintain a safe distance between people. I ended up ordering the dry seasoning chicken fingers with caeser salad as a side. My husband ordered the Memphis sirloin which came with vegetables and a baked potato. Overall, we both enjoy our meals very much. Both meals tasted great. We also enjoyed the music they played outside while dining there as well.

We walked in with nine people with no reservation on a Saturday night, they accommodated us, and the service was still quick! Really great food!

The... read more We went specifically for the cheddar ale soup which has been taken off the menu! Why Jack Astors why?! So very disappointed that it is no longer available. The service was fantastic at this location and the other food we had was quite good. PLEASE BRING BACK THE CHEDDAR ALE SOUP!!
