I usually only do cooked sushi...you know, anything with a description containing seared, crispy, crunchy.' But all fears of raw seafood are gone! This place has the freshest and best sushi I've tasted on this island. I'm telling everybody! View all feedback.
Visited the Beluga bar which has expanded with more space as well as the popular bar and a few tables it has recently expanded to a much larger space with as always friendly staff. The food as always was so good and Sammy made a special treat as usual. The dishes I can recommend are Sammy rolls, Coconut Shrimp and Red Dragon. It a fun place to go. Popular with locals and very busy at lunchtime too. There is an elevator to get to the lower lobby for wheelchair access.
We stumbled upon this place by accident while in the mall on a sunny day. Very random location for such great food. After watching Sammy from the floor above, we decided to grab lunch here and weren't disappointed. Not only was the food great and beautifully presented, but Sammy chatted us up the whole time and was friendly and welcoming. An overall great experience.
Chef Sammy and his team are friendly, knowledgable and create a great dining experience. While the location may not be the best for an evening out, the vibe and environment are good. We come from Vancouver so we know our sushi and it was hard to find something comparable. Sit at the sushi bar and watch the technique and flaming torches as they make beautiful plates. We come here with the kids and they will make something off menu to accommodate their tastes.

My son begged me to stop into Beluga Bar for some sushi. We were the first ones there and we were treated like royalty. Not only was the sushi good (some of the beat sushi I've had,) but the service was top notch. The chef named Sammy gave my son a short tutorial on how to use chopsticks. My son had a difficult time but Sammy was so patient. I loved the atmosphere and I look forward to my next visit. Kudos!
