Went there with family. The place was empty on Sunday afternoon-but soon few people arrived. The dishes were very reasonably priced and the taste exceeded the expectations. Left full and happy. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Shanghai Salsa:
Went to this restaurant after almost a year and it was a brilliant evening. Its become a rather lively joint because they now have alcohol serving and there was a live band performing which was the best part as they were too good. Just for that I want to revisit. What I had: Did not try a lot as it was a light night.-Cajun Chicken Signature Platter : a little above average dish. They serve a chicken breast with cajun... Went to this place a week ago. Was dying of hunger so we ordered some soup and starters. First of all the place was empty and they weren't switching on the ac. On top of that the food was terrible! All of it
Visited 2nd time with family. But found the quality has gone down. Especially the vegetarian dishes were not at all good.
The name Shanghai Salsa might sound odd for a combination of Chinese and Mexican cuisine, but none the less it is a popular place for local foodies. The location of the restaurant is however not on the main road, which makes it slightly difficult to locate.Though there are few vegetarian items, the friendly staff does arrange personalized items for the satisfaction of their vegetarian customers.
I read reviews of this restaurant and I visited the restaurant to try out. There is no parking space for the restaurant and it took us some time and dexterity to park our car in narrow road. On busy day it may be impossible to park near. The entrance is little queer but the inside of the restaurant is OK. They tried to give a feeling of Mexico but failed as crew were attired in white and blue cheap beach shirt and silly hats. Visitors were sparse. Menu had fancy names so we consulted the waiter. He seems to be knowledgeable on the content and taste and he guided us to select our order. The soup tasted flat but this is the problem in all restaurants. The main courses were tasty but did not taste at all Mexican. It tasted Chinese. The locality has few other Chinese restaurant and we wondered if all have the same kitchen. Staffs were courteous. We visit the other Chinese restaurant in the vicinity and food taste same with these restaurant. Price is high and you can visit the restaurant for variation. Overall a medium restaurant.

They serve a chicken breast with cajun sauce on a bed of herbed rice, some veggies and a bean salad. The rice was very good but the chicken was not that well done and the sauce did very little to the dish. Service was pretty good and the prices were nominal
