The best burger and fries EVER!!!! The prices are awesome!!! An awesome gem to find... As your heading north it's just before going down the hill and there's several little shops in there too... View all feedback.
What Jessica K doesn't like about Anahola Cafe And Saimin Stand:
We drove out because of all the five star reviews. This was not five star food. Only chicken dish was the teri chicken so we shared that with a side of onion rings. They had pizza also but not until after 4pm. We were there at 3. The saimin looked great but it was all pork and we don't eat pork. The chicken was very fatty and had a very funny taste to it. It was covered in teri sauce which still didn't mask the weird... View all feedback.
We traveled across Kauai from Oahu to dine here. According to Yelp and the sign outside, they were supposed to open at 11:00 AM, but they didn’t actually open until 3:00 PM. To make matters worse, the employees on site looked at me as if I were crazy when I inquired about their late opening—whether it was a one-time event or a regular occurrence. I wish good luck to anyone else from Yelp who decides to visit this place. I sincerely hope the food is exceptional!
I’m giving this place 1 star because they weren't ready for customers nearly an hour after their scheduled opening time. I drove a long way to try the Saimin, only to be told I'd have to wait another 15 minutes, making it a full hour after they were supposed to open. No thanks, I’ll visit another time.
If you enjoy having one dish served while all the others are still not ready, and long rice that appears to have been cooked in dirty water, or if you receive a different saimin than what you ordered, then this is the place for you! The environment is quite unclean, and I’m not sure if they’ve passed health inspections. I certainly wouldn’t recommend eating here. It’s filthy. On another note, the person who did receive their food is currently experiencing stomach issues.
The hours at this restaurant are quite inconsistent. I drove all the way from Hanalei to eat here on a Saturday at 6:00 PM, only to find it closed. Instead, there was a church service happening with just five attendees. I was invited to take part in the ceremony, but I was more in the mood for dinner. So, I headed further down the road to Kapa'a in search of a place to eat.
This was my favorite restaurant during my recent trip to the island. I was continuously impressed by the food, and I particularly enjoyed the wonderful staff who manage the place. I will undoubtedly return on my next visit! Sending hugs and thanks to the incredible chefs there! I hope to see you all again this summer!
