Pokinometry - Anaheim
Pokinometry
Description
Tucked away in bustling downtown Anaheim, this poke restaurant offers an eclectic mix of flavors and fresh options that keep loyal customers coming back. While some diners report a need for improvement in service and ambiance, many rave about the freshness and variety of proteins and toppings. The menu allows for customization, appealing to both traditionalists and adventurous eaters. However, patrons should be prepared for potential parking challenges during peak times. Overall, this poke spot successfully combines quality ingredients and a laid-back atmosphere, though it would benefit from enhancements in decor and consistency in service.

I am sad that I need to change this review.I feel like this is the OG Poke spot. Our spot that we will go to was closed and I REALLY wanted Poke. My husband just wanted me to have anything that would make me happy. That moment in time, it was poke. Service was okay. The inside looks old and sad. It feels like it needs a face lift more than I need Botox. The fish didn't look fresh. Items were out of stock. I honestly thought I might get food poisoning. I still finished it though because I hate wasting food. My husband didn't finish and I picked at his bowl and then just threw it out.
I chose the albacore and salmon with their medium spicy original sauce. The “everything” option was a bit perplexing because when the server asked if I wanted everything, I assumed she meant everything. However, their version of “everything” includes cucumber, avocado, crab meat, and white onion. Overall, I’d rate it a 7/10—solid poke. Apologies for the photo; I started eating before I remembered to take a picture!
My wife and I love this place. We live in Arizona, but whenever we visit Anaheim, we eat here before leaving to come home. As a matter of fact, I will not eat at any Poki here in Arizona because they just don't measure up.The food here is delicious. The service is great. The atmosphere is artsy/hip but also very utilitarian. This is because it's a small to medium-ish place. Nothing wrong with that.Plenty of choices for the quick service sushi bowls.
