Contribute FeedbackEl Torito Anaheim has undergone some changes recently, causing a decline in service quality. Complaints included weak margaritas, cold food, slow service, and overall poor management. Despite this, some guests had positive experiences with attentive servers and fresh, delicious food during brunch, urging a return visit. On the other hand, service mishaps, such as requesting a 7-year-old's ID to sing happy birthday, left some customers disappointed. Overall, the restaurant's inconsistency and lack of Covid safety measures in some instances proved to be a major issue for many diners.
Good food and live music wandering around. Definitely recommend the brunch.
My husband and I celebrated our 34th anniversary this morning with brunch on 04/07/2024. Senorita Sylvia C served us with a smile and was very polite. I complimented her great hospitality service. Thank you.
The server was not attentive and the food quality was low, as they were missing ingredients.
We usually love coming to this el Torito but this time was different. We wanted to enjoy Easter brunch here after being sat 20 mins after our reservation we were told that there was a 90 min dining experience which we completely understood because of the holiday but the service was nonexistent, we wait for over 10 mins with no hello or drinks from our server, we had to flag down someone just to get mimosas and waters… we only knew who she was because she was very attentive to the larger tables around us, and when we asked who are server was they pointed to her. the dessert station was always empty, the kids food options were cold or hard… we would occasionally have an older male server check on us but when we asked for anything he seems annoyed. We asked if we could get the complimentary churro pancakes because they are my daughter’s favorite and they didn’t come out till we were almost leaving. For the amount we paid for a party of 5 it wasn’t worth it! This was definitely not how how we wanted to spend our Easter!
Made a reservation for Sunday brunch. Restaurant was packed when we arrived at 1030 am. When we arrived they allowed our large party to be seated together, as we had two reservations for parties of 4. Sylvia C was our server and she was great. Food was fresh and the kitchen staff was quick to replenish foods that were getting low. Menudo and ceviche were great. Only thing to be aware of for brunch is they have an hour and a half time limit, which is plenty of time to eat, but don’t waste time. Overall great experience and we will return again when in the area.
