Beautiful experience at the Persijn restaurant. The ingredients come from the greenhouse on the rooftop of the hotel! Just like the food, the building looks impressive.
Went here for a late lunch just before Christmas. Food was delicious and service excellent. The menu was creative and beautiful, using local ingredients. We both had a starter with pumpkin, followed by 3 varieties of parsnip with chicken and a delicious desert. The coffee was also great at the end of the meal. Felt bad for the young man servicing our table. There was a misunderstanding when our starter and main course arrived at the table at the same time. Our waiter took the main course back to the kitchen to correct the situation. The chef got angry at him and started lashing out at him. The place was far from full, so don't understand where his frustration came from.
Lovely dinner of local Dutch produce done in appropriately sized portions, makes it easier for me to order a starter, main and dessert! Everything is done minimalistic with. Twist esp the apple crumble!
Food was just okay given the price. Service was absolutely awful. There seems to be a serious lack of organization among staff, and the restaurant wasn’t even full... not acceptable for New Year’s Eve. If the service had been better we likely would’ve ordered more (why order wine when your cocktail comes AFTER your starter, and only after asking three times... . Would not recommend, and seems likely it won’t be open for long if it continues this way.
