You need a reser... read more Wow, I just stumbled upon this place by accident looking for some traditional Danish cuisine and I don’t think it gets any better than Moeders. You need a reservation, but luckily, I was just by myself so they squeezed me into a table. I went with one of their house specialties. I believe it was called the hopscotch which was comprised of a wurst, a Danish style meatball and some bacon with the centerpiece of mashed potatoes and sauerkraut with a dollop of gravy in the center. I started off with the asparagus soup which was in season and both dishes were hearty and delectable and if I remember correctly, you could even have the mashed potatoes mixed with other things like spinach, etc.. Do not miss this stop in Amsterdam. If you’re visiting for the first time, I would’ve gone back probably a couple of more times but my other hotel was way across town. The food per se is nice, there are options for you to try several of the classic dishes in a buffet-esque way, which I apprecciate a lot since I only had one chance to try the food here. Of course, the service is also top, very kind and helpful people, with waiters that speak all languages for ease of communication Price per person: €30–40 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
