I had a 5 course menu, the major taste I... read more It was a good experience eating at Choux. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. The vibes at the restaurant were nice. I had a 5 course menu, the major taste I had in the first 3 courses was sour and sweet, the first bite was amazing but it started to become a little boring after having the similar taste in 3 courses in a row. But overall the food was very fresh, good quality and tasty. I enjoyed not only the taste of the food but also the presentation of them. Bread was also delicious, which you can always ask for more. The natural wines were a big highlight. Although most of them can only be ordered as a bottle, I managed to trie a few different wines by glass. The staff recommended that I can either pick a glass from the pairing wines menu or just ask what are available at that time. I tried a cider, one orange wine, 2 different red wines and I liked all of them. The restaurant was also a ‘wine shop’ where you can bring the wines you like home after finishing the dinner.

After trying very hard for weeks to get a reservation during our quick weekend in town and never scoring one off the waitlist I phoned and was delighted to be w... read more After trying very hard for weeks to get a reservation during our quick weekend in town and never scoring one off the waitlist I phoned and was delighted to be welcomed to a table in their wine room. Honestly it was sort of the best scenario as it was set apart from the crowd and felt private and intimate. I can say without question this was one of the best meals of 2022 and perhaps top 10 in a lifetime. I thought every course was inventive, delicious, and appealed to all senses. The meal certainly introduced me to new foods I had never tried and was prepared with a variety of techniques- favorites included the veggie Dutch pancake with truffles, squid noodles, venison and dessert. We opted for a lovely bottle of wine rather than the drink pairing so I can’t comment on that part of the experience. We found the service and restaurant to be very accommodating and engaging and are still talking about our meal a week later! Thank you and prost!

I even made the mistake of assuming all dishes would be vegetarian (not true and they accommodated me last minute which was incredible. All the staff we interacted with were excellent! Special shout out to Igor and their customer service- it was above and beyond : The food was full of flavour, with really creative combinations which are rare to find in plant first cooking. All the dishes were so beautifully presented, and staff took their time explaining them to us which we appreciated. I only have the picture of the first course because we genuinely were just took busy enjoying all the others the moment they arrived! Price per person: €100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
