For everyone complaining about the corn being under cooked, Mexican corn is harder than the corn we're used to in the states. In my opinion, Mexican corn is so much better and authentic. View all feedback.
What Deiondra S doesn't like about Elotes Y Esquites Guasave:
Corn was over cooked. I was super excited to try this place being that it was the only elotes place that came up on yelp. Corn was very hard and over cooked. Didn't have any flavor other than the hot sauce i put on it View all feedback.

Generous portion in a cup for a reasonable price. The corn didn't have any sweetness and the kernels seemed undercooked. Possibly out of season or not boiled long enough. Nice variety of Sauces
What a shame that there are only a few reviews for this business despite that this is what MÉXICO is about authentic street food rather than most of the American restaurants people choose to dine at, after flying thousands of miles for to experience culture. The line is never too long but you will never find the cart without a line as customers keep on coming one by one. By far the most delicious Elote I have ever had, except I got mine in a cup. The guy speaks English and was extremely helpful. Five stars!! I will be back again before I fly home.
We were the only non-local Americans in line and we're definitely given some odd looks but it was worth it! We went two nights in a rows, first night we got the elote on the cob con todo, the corn was a little under cooked but still good and the mayo with cheese and hot sauce saved it, next night we went with what the locals do vaso mediano con todo, medium cup with everything. The corn is cut off the cob and boiled a little longer in water so the corn is cooked perfectly! It was SO good! We walked around the part of town many Americans don't go to a while and never felt unsafe or out of place, we stopped at the tamale lady and the churro stand as well. Just make sure you bring pesos in small amounts because they don't have change and practice speaking Spanish! Don't speak English they appreciate your broken Spanish more. Love the elote ladies!
