Sri Kamatchi Amman Cafe

For a proper typical 'nattu sapattu ' Tamil non-vegetarian dishes, Sri Kamatchi is the go to place. Though I found the biryani to be similiar to that of Dindigul Thalappakatti, this place offered a lot more.<br/ <br/ With two different menus- one for the afternoon another for dinner this place offered everything one could desire for. We visited for both lunch and dinner.<br/ <br/ Dinner:<br/ We had the parotta meal with mutton curry (highly inspired from Vikram Veda), chicken dosai and nattu kozhi (country chicken) biryani. The mutton curry is enough to serve 4 parottas (so order more parottas). The chicken dosai was so good, you could totally die for it.<br/ <br/ Lunch:<br/ We had the vanjaram meal, chicken meal, chicken fried rice, mutton sukka, prawn kamatchi and some soft drinks. The Banjara was dry and the kozhambu was also not upto the mark. The mutton sukka and the prawn kamatchi were just awesome. They were star dishes of the meals. The meals were very elegantly served with curd, onion curd chutney, rasam, porriyal and muttai (egg) curry. I had a very fine home-style lunch.<br/ <br/ This place made me so hungry, that I forgot to click pictures before I began eating. One cannot resist from jumping over that kind of food. Pardon my pictures.<br/ <br/ Overall the experience was great. Quick service, spontaneous waiters, neat ambience and most of all great food.<br/ <br/ Warning: highly not recommended for people with acidity and ulcers- there is very good use of peppers and masala.

Bored of Pondicherry Italian cuisine.we got a good food here even though we are north indian people we liked it.Chicken lollipop is good, roasti s bit gravy thing but taste is good.price is too pocket friendly.but every dishes are meant for single only you can't share the quantity.

We had dinner and lunch at this place. The food is very good and rates are reasonable. For example South Indian Thali cost you Rs. 60/ . It was a family trip to Pondicherry

One of the go to places for Chettinad style non-veg dishes. Well maintained, tasty food, hygienic. Biryani and fish kamatchi are the best. Kari uttapam must try.
