Nonna's Cafe - Amite City

We got lucky and found this place on our way home to Oklahoma from NOLA and my goodness! The food was incredible and the service impeccable! Nonna was amazing to us and so welcoming. I highly recommend this place!

A diamond in the rough! Our first time here was a pleasant surprise. Found this place by chance via Google Reviews. My family and I loved the hospitality. The staff explained how the food is prepared fresh and not out of a can everything is homemade! My favorite dishes were the lasagna and the yams. Just needed a biscuit to sop up my plate. Definitely making plans to come back! ????

This place is a hidden gem! If I could give it 10 stars, I would! We visit family often and have to take I-12 and we will be stopping every time for the buffet. It’s very well seasoned and not a thing I tried was not absolutely wonderful. The best part is it is even that much for a buffet which is a lot of seafood…under $20! 4 adults was $81 and that included drinks and the $10 tip. Can’t wait to try what is available on other days! Definitely stop by…you won’t be disappointed!

What a delightThe quaint down home feel to it... LOVELY!We will be back.Fried chicken, meatloaf, greens, sweet potato, washed down with a lemonade/tea... And finished off with Peach cobbler.Got to meet Mama Nonna and more of the family... What an honor...Praise music playing ...
