What Thad Hills doesn't like about The Dalhousie Bistro:
I ordered the Croque Monsieur. It seemed to be in the same section as the lunch items. Also, for $15.00 I assumed that it would be more than 4 pieces of baguette with cheese, ham, and tomato. Although the food was good, it was extremely misleading that an item that would be considered an appetizer is in the lunch section. Especially at that price, I was out $15.00 and still hungry. We visited during a Canada 150 special weekend and the restaurant was obviously overwhelmed. Nonetheless the food was excellent. One of our party had the large Greek salad which was amazing. Another had the Reuben which was also very very good. They even accommodated our 4 year old with a grilled cheese and he loved the cheese. Give it a try! View all feedback.

We arrived on Monday at 12 noon. once sat, came a waitress and we put our presents, most of which were sandwiches and wraps. we waited almost 35 minutes.
My man and I had a day in dalhousie and we were totally impressed! we had the best table right in the front bay window with view.
This place completely reminds us of the little areros in montreal and when I said that she was answering the server was well, that is what the owner intended.

read moreThe restaurant in question offers a mixed bag of experiences, with some diners expressing disappointment in their meals while others raved about the quality of the food. One reviewer was unimpressed with their Croque Monsieur, which they found to be overpriced and lacking in portion size. Another group received cold sausages for lunch and felt let down by the quality of their meal. On the other hand, diners during a Canada 150 special were pleased with their meals, particularly enjoying the Greek salad and Reuben sandwich. Those looking for a more casual experience will find the lunch menu to be more enjoyable, with excellent sandwiches and salads offered at fair prices. The venue itself is praised for its cozy and inviting atmosphere, making it a great spot for a leisurely brunch or lunch. Additionally, the bistro's proximity to the Detroit River provides a picturesque setting for guests to enjoy a glass of wine with friends. Overall, while some diners may have had disappointing experiences, the restaurant seems to excel in providing a pleasant dining experience for those looking to enjoy a quality meal in a charming setting.
