fantastic cash! brandon was our bartender and the minute we went, he made us feel at home. drink specialities are great, and they give them free popcorn as well as that is beautiful. bar was really clean and the woodwork there is beautiful! this is a nice bar to come and have a few drinks when they are on the city. What User doesn't like about Mcmurphy's Uptown Tavern:
Visited Amherst from Denver recently and came here with a group. We all ordered from the bar and sat at a high top to watch a ball game and chat. Everything was good until it was time to pay. A very uncool bartender double charged us for a round of drinks, making us pay double what we should have, and then accused us of not knowing what we actually ordered. My favorite in the city. pick up their rolling rocks for $2 or get their pitcher for five. they also have other cheap drinks. Coat rack, they give free popcorn, and there are live music on Wednesdays and Thursdays. otherwise there is a jukebox. good employees. easier place, but sometimes the simplest things are the best.
