What Érica Pires dislikes about Bodega Abrigadoiro:
another one of those hidden and charming places of compostela. a winery, limiting with the old town, a cozy place, where you can enjoy if you want, a good wine that stores another of those charming places you should not miss the santiago, on the border with the old town, where you can enjoy quietly a good wine. Local at its finest, only quality in a very easy going area and environment with amazing staff and great choice of meal. Recommended
Having just completed out Camino adventure we fell upon this place as we were looking for somewhere close to our hotel the prospect of walking further did not fill us with delight! So glad we followed the Trip Advisor reviews and made the short (less than 100m) journey to this fantastic bar. We were seated quickly while our drink orders were prepared and these were served along with some tapas to keep us going while we pursued the menu. Dead tired and unable to make a meaningful decision on what to go for we simply picked a meat platter and a cheese platter along with a portion of pork belly as a special request from my daughter. It was presented beautifully and tasted even better. We all thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Authenticity itself, if you're looking for a real Galician bar this screams authenticity. Come here just for the plates of wine, cheese and regional cured meats. The best free tapa I've had in Santiago, Perfect! Surrounded by white wash and granite walls. Wine barrels and scribbled boards listing wine and cheese we were served by a brilliant old man apparently busy serving the entire bar their drinks and preparing their food yet still took time to help us English speaking philistines order and educate us about Galician wine and cheese.
Gloomy and relatively empty at 2pm but we stayed and had a treat. Some tables seem to be reserved for the elderly locals, two of whom were slowly sharing a bottle of wine. The owner treated us to delicious chorizo and cheese with our wine orders. The portions are huge (even in 1/2 sizes) so we completely over-ordered. Half size tortilla is about a foot across! Tuna salad was a plentiful meal for two just by itself. Luckily the owner forgot one of our orders! And again luckily they were happy to pack the tortilla to go. After the tourist traps in the city center, this is a welcome breath of fresh air!
Wonderfully traditional but different bar/cafe, fairly centrally located. It's like stepping back in time in this vaulted cellar bar full of rustic charm. Our beers were served by a friendly gentleman who kindly also brought several slices of chorizo, pieces of cheese and bread. The tables and seats are basic but the counter area with many different types of meats and cheeses is old-fashioned and natural which adds to the special feeling of having travelled back in time. The food world would benefit immensely if there were sharing and caring places like this. We have only one relatively minor criticism. The loos were a bit too natural and could do with a spruce up! This bar is highly recommended.

You will enjoy sitting in this cool, cozy and traditional place and enjoy the delicious cheese and jamon with a glass of wine. If you are not a wine drinker like me, you can enjoy various non-alcoholic drinks with a variety of cheeses. The owner is so friendly and helpful. You can enjoy your time in a hot summer afternoon in this cool and pleasant place. I'd like to go back.

A very charming place. If you don't look for seafood, it's a duty. do not stay at the entrance; go to the bottom, to the water mill. very good potato tortilla with chorizo and also the peppers of the pattern. good ratio quality/price.
This is great! do not look for seafood, you will find a cojonuda tortilla, sausage, assortment of cheeses, pyll peppers of the pad., let yourself be advised by the waiters.
The abrigadoiro winery is very close to the alameda park. a mandatory stop during our visit to the most monumental santiago to taste the products of the earth and enjoy the air of the north in all its extension if you want to enjoy a good wine selected from its extensive winery next to high quality sausages, this is the ideal place decorated with typical elements in its interior as water mills, abbreviations, wine shades, etc. or you will have the feeling of being at home the temperature of the local is much more pleasant
GZ/PT: a small squat for the visitor, but a few meters from the Compostela Garden. has a charming and charming atmosphere as if we were in a village, even with the current water mill and the cooling wine. absolutely recommended to take and charlar. es: a little squatting for the visitor, but a few meters from the Alameda-Jardim de compostela. tiene un ambiente charming and pleasant as si estuviésemos en una aldea, inclusive con moolino de agua a corriente mientras se enfría el vino. absolutely recommended to take and charlar.
