We happen to have a stop over in Montemarcello to enjoy the stunning view of the gulf and decided to have a bite in this restaurant, right on the street which crosses the fascinating hamlet. The veranda is actually inviting, simple and nice, covered by large sun umbrellas. The view of the village upon the Rick is very pleasant. The menu is not actually what one expects in such place, it looked right oriented to tourists. Nothing really typical as well as nothing was genuinely remarkable. Good appetisers, honest “trofie al pesto”, however I may not say the same of the tasteless “impepata di cozze”...fishy and visibly not fresh. Prices are also for tourists, they do not really rely on anyone to go back. Fair service, very slow kitchen despite the little number of guests.

Its a busy little place, great fun at the weekends watching all the cyclists stopping off for a drink after their long climb up to this beautiful village.
The food here is excellent. Some reviews don't seem to reflect my opinion. It is definitely 4/5 or higher. I had marinated anchovies simple with lemon juice, parsley, garlic and olive oil, but absolutely delicious. Battuta di manzo raw beef hand cut with outstanding truffle sauce and fresh cheese. The unsophisticated setting does not reflect the quality of the food. I've been back twice and plan to go again. Truly excellent and different menu from the run of the mill.
