Good location, very good, even excellent (raviolli) local food, simpatic waitress. yes, it's the restaurant that I would visit again.
Beautiful place with good, friendly service and delicious uncomplicated meals. easy “rustic” signage, but don’t let them set off and enjoy!

Montemarcello is officially one of the most beautiful villages in (Borghi piu Belli) in Italy and Fugassa e Binei is a charming little restaurant in the heart of the old paese. Good, mostly basic food--pastas, salume and cheeses, local fish. Or Sgabei, a Ligurain kind...of puffed, fried dough that is perfect with cured meats and ripe cheeses. Fugassa e Binei is local dialect for Focaccia e Binelli the latter being a special kind of tiny yellow local fig that only ripens in August. That gives you an idea of the authenticity of this place, where 95% of the diners are Italian. Say what you like about Italian chaos, bureaucracy, disorganization but Italians do NOT tolerate bad food. Fugassa e Binei is a wonderful little island of the old Montemarcello, a village perched on cliffs between the marble mountains of Carrara and the heartbreakingly lovely Golfo di Poeti. If you're visiting, you won't find a better place to eat--guaranteed.
