Lake Merwin Camper's Hideaway - Amboy

This place is the Bees Knees, you need to know somebody to join the community but it is an amazing community, people, the activities and the general atmosphere up in the high mountains overlooking a beautiful lake. n nHad the privilege of being there for the final concert of the summer and Collective Nation was amazing. Filled with energy the crowd responded in kind and the night was filled with music, dance and a whole lot of Happy.

Lots of fun. Nice recreational area on the water. Lots of curvy roads. Use extreme caution!

Always a great time at the lake. Management has made some very questionable decisions that have made camp less enjoyablePlayground: Very kid Friendly eventsRestrooms: Shut down more and more often, and need updated.

My family goes up here and have a cabin up here. It's absolutely gorgeous. The lake is so refreshing and fun. And the main street is well paved and the pool is very nice. The drawbacks however are pretty significant when you are paying tens of thousands of dollars to have a place to stay. On multiple occasions the ladies that own the place were rude and straight up hostile. Especially when we were getting things ready to get in the lake. There are a lot of rules and it does not take a whole lot of noise for complaints to be made. Other people I know here have paid thousands in fines from noise complaints. And don't try to park anywhere that isn't your driveway as the people are itching to tow you away. But overall it's a beautiful place and fun to stay at. I however would never buy a place here.

Private lots, membership required. Security guard at gate. Have to make appointment at sales office to enter.Playground: Large assortment of play equipment including volleyball. Also miniature golf.Restrooms: Does and Bucks specific. They are spread throughout camp and include a shower.Dog-friendliness: Allowed at camp sites but always on leash. Not allowed at water front.Picnic area: Picnic tables and bbq pits at all common area ie playground, water front, etc.
