Planchette Bistro And Creperie - AMBLER

We enjoyed an outstanding lunch at a lovely corner restaurant in Ambler. I only wish that I had more of an opportunity to be in the vicinity of Ambler so that I could come back to this restaurant more often!

Our first visit and I can’t wait to go back! BYOB. Loved everything about it especially the accordionist! Delightful meal (French onion soup and lobster bisque, spinach salad with beets, goat cheese and walnuts, sole filleted at the table, and steak et frites with a shared crème Brûlée. Busy spot and those waiters were hustling! Very friendly, wasn’t rushed and lots of folks enjoying themselves.

Excellent service and a wonderful atmosphere. The prices are reasonable. While the food was good, it didn't stand out as extraordinary.

The prices for the afternoon reservation were raised significantly. Adding $12 to $15 to the menu feels excessive, especially just for New Year’s Eve. The food could have used more of a Vegas flair and less emphasis on meat.

I visited Planchette for lunch on December 31 and had a wonderful experience. My partner and I started with calamari, and I had an arugula salad topped with grilled shrimp, which was just what I needed after indulging in holiday meals. My partner enjoyed a crepe filled with mushrooms and duck. The bread basket served with a light olive oil was also excellent. The desserts looked tempting, and I love that they offer BYOB. The staff was very accommodating as well. Overall, a delightful outing!
