They have an authentic beer garden outside under the trees! Food was very well prepared and the service was fast.

This was one of my favorite restaurants in Amberg. The service was very good and the food was great. It was a typical German gastehaus - dark wood, plank floor, friendly atmosphere. Families with young children were commonplace. The waitress was very tolerant of my imperfect German. The menu was more limited than other restaurants of its type, but that was not a hinderence. The sauerbraten was excellent. Needless to say, the beer was very good. A dinner and a half-liter beer were typically 16 euros.

Winkler was one of our favoriate restaurants in Amberg. Incredible beer and delicious food options. There are no frills to this restaurant, just great food and drink. Out back is a nice biergarten when the weather is nice.

This is an interesting place to eat and drink, lots of dark wood panelling and sells its own brew of beer, which was excellent. Menu is mainly steaks and schnitzels. The cordon blue and jäger schnitzel we chose were very good and reasonably priced and served with a nicely dressed salad. At lunchtime it was very quiet on a wet Wednesday, so could not really rate it for atmosphere. Our waitress was friendly and helpful.
