This is mainly a daytime pub which can get very busy. Not much happening at night unless its the weekend. There are plenty of tables outside for nice summer days. The sun shines on there most of the day. New landlord and landlady moved in recently. View all feedback.

We went to the bell inn for a Lunch with our to children before we went on the watercress line. When we got there the staff didn't look very happy and not very welcoming, the waiter just pointed to the table and said over there! This pub is truly unique, with prices that are very affordable, but what really stands out is the exceptional service. The staff is attentive, friendly, and eager to assist. The ambiance is inviting and the regulars are always willing to chat. It's a hidden gem in the heart of town, offering music, TV, and sports. Stop by and introduce yourself to Ryan, who will ensure your visit is enjoyable.
Dropped in after missing my bus. The place was immaculate, clean, no weird beer vs chemical cleaning products, this toilet had a corpse in it for 10 days... Battle.. Just pure clean air how did they achieve this) landlady personable, banter, gave of an air of... ALL. WELCOME.....absoluty void of pretensiousness, trying to be something youre not... Like the good ole days.... Get drunk be respectful or be shown the door... She's friendly but she's sharp... Lovely place... IF ou want food.. Go chippy on way home
This place has long been the worsed pub in Alfreton, so it has to be a good thing that it is closed for refurbishment, and is being turned into a Sports Bar .
This is just a pub now, they do not serve any meals here now, this is a pity as there are only two other food pubs that could do with the competition.
Although the restaurant advertised serving food outside, we were informed upon entering that food was not available. However, the young man behind the bar was very friendly and served us a refreshing cold drink.
