I have been a regular at Rumbles since I moved to Glemsford about 2 years ago, and it has consistently been a fantastic experience. As others have mentioned, it is best to order in advance on Fridays and Saturdays as it can get quite busy. The portion sizes of the chips are huge, so be prepared to loosen your belt. I have never had a negative experience there, and the staff are all friendly and cheerful. View all feedback.
What Melfordhouse doesn't like about Rumbles:
I ordered fish and chips that we were excited to try after not having any during lockdown. I ordered rock eel, but it tasted and smelled like ammonia. When I called the restaurant, they explained that their fish is fresh on the weekends and they had mistakenly served me a piece that was around 4-5 days old. Additionally, they charged £1 each for gherkins, which were very small in size. View all feedback.
I have been getting fish and chips from this place for years, and it is truly the best.
This is the best fish and chips place around for miles! The portions are always good and the size of the portions is decent.

USA Chicken. To be honest, it was the worst chicken I have ever tasted. It was dry and overcooked, with any hint of moisture long gone. It tasted like it was cooked in old, stale fat. Anyone who gives this place a good review must have very low standards. I would rather go hungry than waste my money and get sick eating here again.
