New Taste Chinese Takeaway

I placed an order at 6:10 PM and was informed that it would arrive by 8:25 PM. However, that delivery time was then pushed to 9:15 PM, and the food didn't arrive until 9:55 PM. I tried calling their phone over 70 times, but I couldn't get through as the phone was off the hook. As someone who works in the food industry, I understand that the COVID-19 situation impacts everything, but this experience was completely unacceptable. My order totaled nearly £50, and when I requested a partial refund, they refused, claiming that the restaurant was busier than expected. This takeaway clearly cannot handle the volume of orders, so they shouldn't be accepting them in the first place. Waiting four hours for just nine items is ridiculous, and I will never order from them again. I am extremely angry and disappointed.

I placed an order at 6:50 PM and was informed it would take 30 to 45 minutes. However, by 8:10 PM, we still hadn’t received our food. I called to inquire, and they told me the driver left 15 minutes ago and that it would be here shortly. At 8:30 PM, I called again, only to find out the driver had picked up another order because he couldn't locate our address. The food finally arrived at 8:45 PM, but it was cold and not even what we had ordered! I called back to request a refund and to have the driver collect the food and the Just Eat bag he left at our front door. The young lady I spoke with was quite rude and cheeky, insisting that she packed the food correctly and knew it was right. I've never experienced such poor service in my life. Absolutely disgusting!

We stayed at Riddings Wood Caravan Park and received a recommendation for New Taste from the Seven Stars pub. I placed an order for four people and requested delivery for 8 PM, and it arrived right on time. The driver called me, and I walked up to meet her. When I returned to the caravan, the food was still piping hot. Our meal was excellent—everything tasted fantastic. We had a variety, including chicken curry, chili beef with chips, and a mixed starter. It was all wonderful, and the food was absolutely sublime!

After having tried many local Chinese takeaways over the years we have recently found New Taste to be our favourite.The food looks and tastes like it has been cooked with pride and passion along with generous amounts of meat.

We use this Chinese quite often and the food is great our friends always comment how good the food is when they come around on an evening in. I always collect the food myself so I cannot comment on the delivery service.
