What Akash Budhwani doesn't like about Narmade Anandam:
Earlier visited this resort 5 years back, and had a wonderful experience but this time none of the rooms in the resort were booked. Rooms were filled with moisture as if since long no one stayed there. Though cottages are beautiful but 1st impression this time was awful. Hotel highlights: Great view, Quiet View all feedback.
Rooms okay. However the resort is noisy when people arrive in large numbers and stay awake till midnight disturbing the ambience. Further food is okay and breakfast is not good at all. However some of the service boys are good and hardworking..feel pity for them. Rooms: 4 Service: 1 Location: 3 Hotel highlights: Luxury
The only best resort in Amarkantak! Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Kid-friendly, Great value
Beautiful resort in Amarkantak...memorable stay. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Luxury, Great view, Kid-friendly, Great value
Friends I stayed in the resort no 204 for 2 nights with a price per night at Rs 6500/ per day from 23rd Dec to 25th Dec, 2023. The service of the hotel is at the best. However looking at the price its quite expensive. Breakfast is at worst as the menu was repeating and quality was also not good. Staff behaviour are exceptionally good and very humble. Food quality and options to be improved which is at the bottom among standards. Geyser and telephone was not working for my room . However manageble. Overall looking at the budget will not suggest to stay at the resort with the quality and type of food provided.
We had an unfortunate experience during our one night stay at this property. While the property's ambience and food were satisfactory, we encountered a security issue when money was stolen from my spouse's wallet, which was hidden inside the suitcase in the room. We had never suspected such a thing could happen: we were out visiting the main temple and the waterfalls at the time. Fortunately, while checking out the next morning, I had asked my better half to carry her wallet with her and so we were able to discover the theft. We spoke to the people in the reception room and were eventually able to get the mobile number of the property owners. Although we were unsure if we were actually speaking with the owners, the person we spoke to had authority and initially said we should have reported the theft the day before and he would have searched all of the staff. We explained that a) we had only just discovered the theft and b) the thief won't be fool to keep the money with him after robbing. He was still hesitant to believe us as the cottage keys were with us the whole time, so we pointed out that the thief could have entered through the sliding windows. He sent his men to our room to check the windows, and sure enough, they were faulty. After all the scrutiny, he changed his stance and said he could only waive the room rent, which was less than the amount stolen. Since he acknowledged the shortcomings at their end, we accepted the suggested resolution. However, such a security lapse should be taken seriously by visitors as anybody could have entered the room quietly at night (and possibly hurt us). As we had a scheduled checkout around, we left the hotel soon. Two hours after we had left, we received a call from the on-premise caretaker/manager of the hotel. He had not been present during the incident, and had only just learned of it. His impression was that we had swindled the hotel, as he claimed any window could be opened with enough force. We were appalled by his rude behaviour and false accusations, and expressed our displeasure. He abruptly disconnected. It should be noted that just like this rude on-premise manager, we could counter-allege that the hotel was trying to swindle us by first robbing us and then compensating us with a smaller amount. This experience was extremely disappointing, as the hotel manager had the audacity to level false accusations, even after his superior had acknowledged the shortcomings and resolved the issue. We would not recommend this property. Safety: Our safety was compromised in the hotel premise. Hence, please be careful and conduct proper due diligence.
