One of the beds in our room wasn't completely made but that was the only problem with the room itself.Overall, it was very clean and lived up to the high quality I expect from Holiday Inn Express. The staff was nice and breakfast was fresh and good. View all feedback.

Additionally, there was a "closed" sign on the pool because the Amarillo Health Department had shut it down for safety reasons. Although I was told I could still swim, I’ve learned to prioritize health and safety, especially coming from Texas, where pool-related microbes can pose serious risks. I typically choose places for their pools, so this was a major drawback for me.

When we went to dinner, my wife noticed that the door wasn't fully closed, which posed a security risk since anyone could have easily entered our room. Moreover, someone else was trying to check in at the same time and had experienced multiple problems with their reservation. The last time I saw him, he was sitting in the lobby while they tried to sort things out. Additionally, I had two unpleasant encounters with staff members who were quite rude. Depending on the room, airport noise can be extremely loud, keeping you up for hours. On a positive note, the only highlight of this place is that the Big Texan Steakhouse is conveniently located right down the road. However, there are definitely better options nearby. I've decided to cancel my upcoming reservation and will choose to stay elsewhere in the future. It's just not worth it.
We arrived last Sunday when bad weather warned us about the roads. Thankfully, they allowed cats and had available rooms. Nailey was our server, and she was so sweet—we even had a lovely chat. We were upgraded to a suite, which provided the relaxing break we needed! The rooms and facilities were beautiful and clean. They offer brand-name beer, face cream, shampoo, conditioner, and body care products at the front desk. My sister even forgot her razor and shaving cream, which they had on hand. They also provide more than just typical snacks and healthy meals for purchase. I must say, it was the best free breakfast I've ever had! There were hot rolls, baked goods, oatmeal, apples, oranges, muesli, Chobani Greek yogurt, eggs, rosemary potatoes, turkey bacon, gravy, biscuits, sausage, and more. Very impressive! I'm not sure if all Holiday Inn Express locations are this fantastic, but I will definitely book again on future travels. Holiday Inn has Nailey to thank for gaining a new loyal guest!
Guest clerk was ok your here, so what. The room had broken titles at door, the bathroom shower and spout was falling off , was dirty in corners and tub was slippery. The safety bar was placed to high to reach and I slipped and was injured. Husband went down for ice pack and same girl said they had no emergency kit, fix ice himself. She didn't care. We called customer service and honestly it must have went to manager who was friendly at first then wanted to know what We wanted out of them. No report was established, Sorry is all we got. Manager was to speak with us and never did. This hotel management has never contacted us. Safety should be part of service always. Told them I have photo's of injury to verify accident and nothing was said.
Beautiful hotel this hotel is very well styled very beautiful and very welcoming and accommodating. My only complaint is something that probably can't be helped we wanted to eat at the restaurant in the hotel, and they were out of hamburgers. I would think that restaurant wouldn't run out early in the day. The welcoming staff at the front desk, was very nice I requested specific instructions on my room and they placed me on the bottom floor. They did tell me they had no extra pillows to give me I had requested two extra pillows and they said they didn't have them? Since when does the hotel not have extra pillows? All in all it was a very beautiful hotel a very good stay the pool was nice, and we probably will plan on staying there again. But I may feel the need to either bring my own hamburgers or pillows LOL
