Aspen Creek Grill - Amarillo

This is advertised as barbecue and they don't serve barbecue except for sauce. Went on the other side of highway and ate at ruby's. At least they have barbecue.

Good food and very attentive! I am adding an additional comment as of July 28, 2024. I wonder why every single time I've come, which one time was the exception, that I would have to point out the discount they failed to take off. I've been coming for years and this was always the case except for one time. This was before COVID and it goes on now. It's just annoying. But I still like coming here.

The steak was delicious and I suggest the corn as a side.

Food was good, our server was very nice. The drinks were iffy. The IPA was flat and one of our cocktails was overly bitter. It took a while for food to come out and even longer to get the check corrected and paid. Even with the issues our server was great. There was an issue with another customer who needed extra supervision and i think our ticket got rang up at another table, which was all understandable. Would still recommend this place.

Food is OK. Our steak was not seasoned much at all and was overcooked on one end and correct on the other. The ribs were good. They just fell off the bone. Service was OK, not great. The baked potato was good, but tiny.
